Overview

IGT is seeking an intern to join our Transformation team; our Human Resources. This paid, full-time internship will allow for hands-on experience supporting the Talent Acquisition and Diversity & Inclusion teams in key initiatives. The intern will be responsible for a broad range of duties with significant focus on workforce and community partnerships, talent acquisition initiatives focused on underrepresented candidates, including communication/marketing materials for a variety of mediums and audiences. This position may provide support for new and existing Diversity and Inclusion Groups (employee business resource groups), company events and programs, and research requests.

Responsibilities

This intern will assist with short-term projects and daily tasks including:
•   Researching diversity and inclusion best practices, trends, regulations, benefits, and policies
•   Writing and editing internal communication materials for multiple mediums
•   Analyzing, organizing, and communicating data via visually engaging presentations 
•  Collecting, evaluating, organizing and assessing information regarding IGT’s external partnerships with professional associations and community members related to diversity and inclusion Working with Diversity and Inclusion Groups (employee business resource groups) on talent acquisition and other initiatives

As a result, the Diversity & Inclusion Intern will gain:
•   An in-depth understanding of talent acquisition and diversity and inclusion in the workplace
•   Work experience within a large, extremely diverse international company
•   Familiarity with the style, practices and needs unique to internal communications
•   Exposure to the complexities of a large-scale organization
•   Hard and soft skills necessary for any role in the business world
 

Qualifications

•   Personal commitment to diversity and inclusion
•   Creative and highly motivated student pursuing a degree related to Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Sociology, Psychology, Writing, Human Resources, or Business Administration
•   Strong communication and outreach skills with diverse audiences and organizations
•   Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and oral communication skills
•   AP Style knowledge or willingness to learn AP Style
•   Strong attention to detail
•   Strong technical/computer skills, including but not limited to proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•   Ability to take feedback and direction
•   Strong work ethic: ability to work successfully with limited supervision
•   Ability to juggle both short-term projects and daily tasks that need immediate attention
•   Strong collaboration skills

General Intern Requirements:
•   Must be able to work 37.5 hours per week during the summer. 
•   Must have completed at least two years of higher education study or 48 equivalent credit hours.
